Welcome to the Porcelain Artists Association Hunter Valley Inc. (PAAHV)

What is Porcelain art? It is art work painted onto porcelain and kiln fired to 'fix permanently' the art work. It requires not only artistic skills but also a significant degree of technical competence in firing the kiln. Painting on porcelain is an ancient art. Such painted porcelain has been ever popular, and it continues to play a part in our daily lives. The art is alive and well, constantly being stretched by experiment and innovation and surging forward into the 21st century.

Some of our 50 Members are among the leading porcelain painters in Australia. Indeed since its formation over 30 years ago, the Association has attained exceptional standards of excellence.

The Porcelain Artists' Association meets on the last Saturday of every month at Club Macquarie, Lake Road, Argenton NSW Australia (between Cockle Creek station and Waratah Golf Club). Meetings start at 1:00pm. Occasionally there will be guest speakers or demonstrations. There is plenty of free parking and easy access.
